As with any organization or group you need a rules for the group to work. Below you will find that document which is the bylaws of Local 4848. This is a living document that is updated as the needs of the local change. If you feel something should be changed in the bylaws please complete a proposal form at any time and have it submitted to the bylaw committee chair.

CUPE LOCAL 4848 is please to offer four (4) bursaries in the amount of $500.00 the bursary will be offered to a full-time student who will be attending university or trade school/community College. The bursaries are in the name of the CUPE Local 4848.

The Grievance process is one of the most important and vital right that any union has. This is the mutually agreed process by both the Local and the Employer on how issues will be resolved. Every Collective Agreement has a different process. You can find the process for Local 4848 outlined in Article 17 of the current Collective Agreement.
